It's not for me . . it's for 'a friend?

Has ILM punk rock hate brought us to this?

Not NYC specific, but lots of NYC shows get advertised there.

Your friend's about a decade late, and that's being generous.

The Todd P site can be useful, though more so right now for its links, as he's on a bit of a vacation/hiatus.

Though I don't know if by "punk" you literally mean good old CBGBs '77punk (which in its current NYC iteration is pretty tired), or punk in a broader sense of aggressive diy action.

The Death by Audio space in Williamsburg has had a run of great shows. Your "friend" should check them out.

oh i mean punk in the narrow sense and the broader sense. i guess a gig guide for NY alternative music in general

..and what's with all this " friend" bullshit. I'm a grown man and this is an anonymous website - why would i make up a "friend"... ..... like i said - if i was heading to new york I'd be trying to find out where Bobby Konders is playing. Sadly I'm heading to Bali where I'll be bombarded by bad Robbie Williams covers for 2 weeks. of course I'll be drunk on mojitos that cost 50 cents so who cares

still occasionally relevant.

Terminal Boredom forum for when there's good stuff at the Charleston or some random loft type things. Next friday Imaginary Icons and the Hecklers are playing Hank's Saloon.

Looking at Toddp's site, still lots of good stuff being listed, and a lot from the Terminal Boredom crew, Kevin from Pink Reason, Mike Sniper...Siltbreeze type lo-fi or whatever punk bands.

And the Homosexuals are playing like 3 times a week and are great.
