New Travis album: Ode to J.Smith. Leans heavily towards progrock!

Quite surprised when I heard the first few songs. No more acoustic-guitar-driven radiohits. Tempo changes, guitar solos, a big choir. Maybe not worth buying, but definitely an interesting listen!

Completely weird and unexpected. Could it be that they have been influenced by a band they influenced themselves. A band that starts with C and ends with y :)

Is this Geir's favourite album ever?

I doubt so. But I am sure I'll love it. :)

I love Travis! And am proud to say so!

I guess I started to listen to them at first around 2000-ish in the absence of Crowded House and just became a big fan from there.

Yes, they may be "lite" but they know their way around a good chord change and a fantastic chorus.

J. Smith was a great album - little bit uneven, but it was nice to hear them switch things up a little.

There's a new song available on their website for free download. It's alright. I'm not surprised I don't love it, because it seems like I've never been that into any of their lead off singles. Still excited for the new album though.
