What is the point of Misteeq going acoustic(they sounded terrible)?

Hives, BRMC, Misteeq, Handsome Family, Bryan Ferry on the same bill. Is Later getting HIP or is music getting too MUSO ?

Their cover of THIS IS HOW WE DO IT was not very acoustickal - it did however lead to PERPLEXION when we could not remember who did the original - upon going to Carsmiles house with its many ROCK REFERENCE BOOKz0r we found out it was Michael Jordon. Shame, I really really hoped it was MN8. I gotta little something for ya is a MUCH bettah song than this is how we do it - also they were HUNKY MENGS phwoar.

It made my mind up on The Hives and BRMC - shite both.

Vvvvv odd Mis-Teeq performance. BRMC were shit on a stick and I was most disturbed when one of my friends described them as perfect shag music after seeing their Later performance.

Without a doubt the worst Later I think I've seen, the godlike Mr Ferry excepted (but Goodnight Irene!!!!). BMRC were absolute garbage, the fact that they're going to be on the front cover of the NME again next week shows what a pathetic state indie music is in. Will and Gareth pop idol are preferable to that mumbling, sullen, tune free zone. I will now get out my copy of Psychocandy and reminisce about the good old days with a mug of cocoa

However, twas worth it for howling Pelle or whatever he's called refusing to play the influence game with Jools. Mark S would have been proud.

V. much agree w/ Dr.C - if this is 'hip' give me MTV.

And 'Soundtrack of our Lives' were even worse.

I am not allowed to stay up late on Sunday nights (or even Later). But I can see I am missing not very much. Wot about Re-covered or whatever it's called, on BBC Choice though. Well before my bed time (8.00) and with someone (poss. Doves) doing the Smiths; Liberty X doing Radiohead; and The Vines MURDERING Outkast's Mrs Jackson -- ie with no rapping and no rythmn (can never spell that damn word).

I thought the proliferation of realtime instruments on Misteeq's songs was unusual - my mishtake. The jam session at the start of the programme was the worst ever.

Michael Jordan would have been funnier though ha ha yes okay I spazmoed out there. I am obviously subconciously obsessed with b-ball OH NO TOO MUCH FRESH PRINCE!!! OH NO!! I have forgotten BRMC obv, that's what you get when you're up against SNAPPY DRESSERS like Thee Hives and Mis-teeq.

Anyway the only person who should be doing acoustic hem hem 'garage' is Daniel Bedroomeyes (or Craig David).

Sarah, Monday, 13 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

mis-teeq can do no wrong. jools holland however should be hung drawn and quartered. later with camomile tea and a sponge bath. howabout bill steer's "later with bill steer" live collaborations with cecil taylor , kool keith, and pan_sonic?/??
