And so ILM's series of UK radio polls (which I reckon have gone remarkably well thus far) winds its way to Bob Harris Country, comfortably the foremost country music programme on UK radio now that Nick Barraclough isn't on Radio 2 anymore. Whispering Bob has been one of the most recognisable voices on British radio and telly (more radio than telly since the Old Grey Whistle Test went off the air) for countless (40) years, and presents two programmes on Radio 2, this, on Thursday evenings at 7pm, and a less country-focused three-hour programme on Saturday nights at 11pm.
Much of this edition was taken up with a tribute to Jerry Reed, so voting may be a bit distorted - I'd have polled another edition, but Listen Again wouldn't have been available.
As per usual, tick the one you like best. I can't get any links for songs at present, due to being at work and such, so we'll have to rely on the Listen Again facility. Bob's show page can be found here.
This poll stays open til this time next week, and I'm currently undecided on what to poll next. Next poll or the one after will be on the Radio 1 playlist, though.
