I just came back from Berlin, where I bought this LP, and I'm totally loving it! It's on the Electrolux label, which I think mostly releases experimental techno and electro, but this stuff is totally different. It's oceanic (literally, the whole album is sonically and lyrically focused on the sea) synth pop with sweeping trancey synths and triphoppish vocals mostly in Spanish. The whole thing is perhaps a bit new agey and cheesy, but also very pretty and atmospheric. Is anyone else familiar with this band? Apparently they've just released a new album of bossa nova, which sounds kinda cool, so I might want to check it out too...
