I got this for 50p from the charity shop next door. I'm going to listen to it in the car on the way home tonight. I suspect Jerry Lee is going to walk it, but we'll see.

They had a couple of other titles in the series, but this was the only one I could be arsed with.

Funny, I'd rather geuss The Platters be walking it :)

I meant walk it as the one I'll enjot most on the drive home! A fair point, though.

"Unforgettable".

50s rock'n'roll is overrated. Rock began with The Beatles.

What makes Geir so amazing is his consistent ability to always top himself.

Oh, and Jerry Lee has The Beatles in his stool.

Jazzbo, Thursday, 11 September 2008 23:53 (sixteen years ago)

The Platters is so much better than anything else here.

I just realized the other day that only part of "Splish Splash" takes place in a bathtub; not the entire thing.

I voted for my second-favorite Platters song. But I have to admit some kinship with Geir here: I have little use for much pre-Beatles rock. A few Four Seasons songs, but really not much else.

"50s rock'n'roll is overrated"

this phrase sounds like an oxymoron, really.
50s rock n roll IS rock n roll.
