Look At You Now - Elcka
Beyond Safe Ways - Bawl
One In A Million - Sussed

^^^remind me. Was the last one a Guns N Roses cover?

Carrie Bradshaw Layfield (The stickman from the hilarious 'xkcd' comics), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:09 (seventeen years ago)

Wow. So many tracks I've never heard of.

Scowly D (Noodle Vague), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:12 (seventeen years ago)

Don't think so. I think that band were regarded, in the minute amount of press they got, as the nadir of Oasis bandwagoneering. Bawl were more of a Suedey fop type thing and Elcka I don't really remember other than the Melody Maker liked them for a second

The Slash My Father Wrote (DJ Mencap), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:12 (seventeen years ago)

Just tell me that the Levellers' "Exodus" isn't a Marley cover.

Scowly D (Noodle Vague), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:13 (seventeen years ago)

Voted Rocket From The Crypt - EN GARDE BRITPO(O)P!!!

The Slash My Father Wrote (DJ Mencap), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:14 (seventeen years ago)

xpost don't think so but the Joyrider song is a Jane Weidlin cover

On A Rope - Rocket From The Crypt

^^^would probably dance to these in one of those depressing London glam clubs that just play 90s shit

Carrie Bradshaw Layfield (The stickman from the hilarious 'xkcd' comics), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:15 (seventeen years ago)

It isn't Bob Marley, thank fuck. Checked. Remember those tossers ruining "Rush Hour".

Scowly D (Noodle Vague), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:16 (seventeen years ago)

Voted for "Something Changed", just to annoy Dom really.

Scowly D (Noodle Vague), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:17 (seventeen years ago)

RFTC. Contemplated voting for On Standby. Massively underrated singles band, Shed Seven. For a couple of years anyway.

Chris in Belfast, Monday, 15 September 2008 10:18 (seventeen years ago)

I couldn't pick one. Even the bands I like or half-like are poorly represented here. This comp series was a horror, wasn't it?

A friend of mine had this theory that when an indie band released a track called "shine", it was the beginning of the end for them. This series called time on UK indierock, I think.

Mildred Dixon (Pashmina), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:21 (seventeen years ago)

Punka or Trash. fucking hell.

Aare-Reuss Böögg (blueski), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:33 (seventeen years ago)

Good grief, talk about Third Single Off The Album A-Go-Go.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 15 September 2008 10:35 (seventeen years ago)

I'll go for "Forbidden City" because no one else will.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 15 September 2008 10:35 (seventeen years ago)

Voted Rocket From The Crypt - EN GARDE BRITPO(O)P!!!

Oh, and also because my friend DJed at a wake for the drummer from Feeder and attempted to play this before someone pulled his hand away from the 'play' button

The Slash My Father Wrote (DJ Mencap), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:42 (seventeen years ago)

10/10

Carrie Bradshaw Layfield (The stickman from the hilarious 'xkcd' comics), Monday, 15 September 2008 10:43 (seventeen years ago)

Actually, Suede "Trash" is pretty decent, so I voted for that.

Mildred Dixon (Pashmina), Monday, 15 September 2008 11:04 (seventeen years ago)

me too. i don't like suede much, but i really like that song.

the next grozart, Monday, 15 September 2008 11:34 (seventeen years ago)
