Stevie, Michael or Lionel?

It is possible that I'd rank Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie ahead of ABBA though, and that's about it.

Which do you prefer? Not "Which do you prefer over ABBA?"

This happened already except it was Prince instead of Lionel Richie.

I don't quite get the intent of Geir's statement, but I don't quibble with any sentiment that puts Stevie ahead of anyone.

Beatles uber alles, ABBA less so, P-Funk better than JB but S, M and L preferable. Something like that.

Voted Lionel Richie because way too few others will do. But my real answer is Stevie Wonder ;)

All three of these are great in that they have never been afraid to write really nice and melodic and diatonic songs, with little R&B influence. Wonders' are the best of all, but he also has an annoying tendency to do a bit too many funk songs like "Superstition" and "Higher Ground".
