I haven't heard the Jill Sobule version but I'm voting for Katy...although I don't know I find it kind of fascinating because I both kind of like it and hate it at the same time. The line about it being her "experimental game" pisses me off beyond belief.

Oh, when I saw Jill Sobule play (after her semi-hit song came out) she was opening for Robyn Hitchcock and played a cover of All The Young Dudes and I think she had her mom come up on the stage. How can you not like that... Finally heard the Kate Perry song a few days ago and it's pretty dreadful. Jill's was just innocently bad.
