No Thanks! The '70s Punk Rebellion Box CD2 Poll

As The Jam and Elvis Costello are both represented with some of their weaker moments, my vote goes to Magazine with a wonderful early postpunk song.

"saturday night in the city of the dead" for the title alone.

Given the choice here, it's a tossup between Mannequin and Shot by Both Sides.
Shelley's guitar riff and McGeogh's solo are pretty unbeatable.

The Damned get this one, as far as I'm concerned, but it's a very strong field indeed. Nice to see SLF brought in along with the usual suspects.

I like all the songs on this apart from #6. And I don't think I've heard #22. Fave might be Sonic Reducer or Mannequin. Or Shot By Both Sides. Or X Offender. Or New Rose. Or... you get the picture.

Very tough - First blush said Buzzcocks, second evaluation said give the American love to Dead Boys because the song still slays, and then I thought about how much I miss Robert Quine as a guitar player - so 'Love Comes In Spurts' it is ...

Ambition, but its a tactical vote to give the lesser known tracks a vote or two, What Do I Get and SHot by Both Sides are nearly perfect.

Nice list, mostly obvious as is the way with such albums, a couple of nice surprises, e.g the Ultravox album track- ans a thankfully few set of of pub rock clunkers.

Talkin' about PRC's, is that a "Dave Edmunds' Greatest Hits" being TV advertised heavily? Well, if it can happen for Dave Dee, dozy and that, .....

Dave Dee is some sort of media mogul. Dave Edmunds isn't, but I'd sooner listen to his records.

well, some magazine was praising "The Sun Goes Down", one of the DDDBM&T B-sides, and they were right to.

Another vote for "Suspect Device".

"Chinese Rocks" and "Baby Baby" are contenders, but it's gotta be The Boys.

These are so much harder than the Nuggets CDs...
