Has anyone seen this? Pouty piano prodigette cloyingly leering at the camera with her best cocquettesque "come-hither" glances while warbling irritatingly earnest Alanisisms at the same time?

I vomit!

I have seen it. Her voice is simply annoying and the video's terrible. It naturally follows then that it's a hit. WHY

I like her voice. It's a decent song too, although the production is over-the-top with sheen and polish. (How about some crunchy guitars instead of those strings?!) And no, she's nowhere near as "irritatingly earnest" as Alanis. That's simply not possible.

I won't judge on the comparison to Alanis, as I haven't heard a song by her for years now and don't really remember the ones I did hear, but the last minute of "A Thousand Miles" is just awful, and I can't imagine anyone being a whole lot more irritating than that.

two killers of the song - lyrics and wah guitar in verses.

the lyrics make it sound like a sixth graders creative writing exercise. the wah guitar make it sound like a forty year old's idea of 'hip'. also, the ending doesn't work.
