Jesus Christ, I can't believe Fugazi didn't win this. That Le Tigre song is possibly the most heavy handed song in their already pushing-it ouevre!

I remember seeing a show at the Shrine Auditorium in the mid '90s. Dub Narcotic Sound System opened up, and Calvin Johnson made a bunch of jokes about how the Oscars were held there; imitating Tatum O'Neal winning her "Paper Moon" Oscar and everything - then Fugazi came out for their set and opened with "Cassavettes" and it just said it all.
