"i'm the queen of love, your messenger, and i won't go away"

i'm in a russian internet cafe on holloway road and they are playing loads of euro-pop-trance, and they are playing something with these lyrics at the moment. anyone know what it is? (is it a uk chart hit? i can't hear the charts or radio or tv at the moment)

anyway, its fantastic, all that stuff about 'trite=pathos", there is an undeniable sadness at the core of records such as this, something to do with the euro-sensibility? anyway, a pickettywitch for 2002?

Reading the subject line and your name, I was instantly put in mind of The Office...

is it possible that it is by Basic Element? google turns up very little. i feel a little bit embarrassed now, looking back at this thread to see that i performed the rockist manouevre of comparing to pickettywitch in order to try and gain credibility and validation for this track (and, by association, myself). i'd like to think i wouldn't fall prey to such a trap now, linking the present to a tried and tested 'past' is a counter-productive measure, one that, ultimately destroys ephemerability, pop and love for the game

could it be Basic Element then? i can't do any o that soulseek shit until i go back north

actually that seems to be from 1995, so i don't think it is this after all...

but then again it is Finnish, which, although not eastern european, might be mistaken for in such a context...
