c90: early 90s pop mixtape

80s revival? pfft, that's so 1999. early 90s is where it's at. i want a compilation of pop gems from the early 90s - but not the usual suspects that still get played at parties (as in, every single party at the function centre where i work). for example, as much as i love it, 'groove is in the heart' can not be on this tape.

so far, only one song has earned its concrete place on this mixtape: bel biv devoe's 'poison'.

1990 - my favourite year. 1990 pop - my favourite thing in the world ever. what you need to do is go to your local oxfam and stock up on 'deep heat' compilations. the end of year ones are stuffed full of great forgotten pop things.

Oh how I adore early 90's dance/pop, childhood nostalgia!

LondonBeat's 'I've Been Thinking About You'& Euphoria's 'Love You Right' should definetley feature on the mix tape!

Im prone to picking the ultra cheesy ones cuz I was a child in the 90's so my music tastes at the time were not that expansive, thus i loved all the euro-pop stuff. So sorry if they are too 'typical'or mainstream lol.
