Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 15 October 2008 22:39 (seventeen years ago)

i think fondly of zep until i go back and listen to the BBC sessions and remember that, live at least, they were a bit too wanky for my taste

I like Queen a lot, but this is no contest. Plus, "Another One Bites the Dust" is horrible.

If Timi Yuro would be still alive, most other singers could shut up, Wednesday, 15 October 2008 22:43 (seventeen years ago)

i watched this late period queen live at wembley thing on VH1 classic....man they could whip up a crowd huh?

like the best part was "Radio Ga Ga" cuz on the "all we hear is" CLAP CLAP "radio ga ga" CLAP CLAP "radio goo goo" part the whole audience like held their hands up, palms facing the stage, then did perfectly sychronized clap motions, real quick, then back to the original position....was so cool!

and then i thought how freddy mercury was of Iranian descent and i thought "Damn, it's pretty rad that a flaming gay Iranian dude could wear a cape and crown and get like 100,000 regular joe UK dudes to worship him, like the world is a crazy place after all"

Wish I coulda seen both bands live. Queen - A Night At The Opera was the 1st ever lp I got bought for me (apparently i loved Bohemian Rhapsody and my mum and dad got me the lp for my 3rd birthday)

The Twisted Pollstarter, Thursday, 16 October 2008 13:26 (seventeen years ago)

Queen are a lot better, but people underrate them, and Led Zepp will walk this poll.

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 16 October 2008 14:30 (seventeen years ago)

Tape Store, Thursday, 16 October 2008 15:57 (seventeen years ago)

Unless you do Queen vs. 10cc or something, I will always go for Queen.

Plus, "Another One Bites the Dust" is horrible.

You are not OTM about voting for Led Zep. But this is OTM!

Geir Hongro, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 09:38 (seventeen years ago)

its not horrible

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 22 October 2008 21:22 (seventeen years ago)

love both, but gotta go w/ zep

6335, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 21:38 (seventeen years ago)

Compared to the rest of Queen's fantastic output, tracks such as "Another One Bites The Dust", "Body Language", and "Don't Try Suicide" are indeed horrible.
