Woke up this morning to the radio playing something tha sounded like a parody of the tracks off the last Prodigy album (which admitedly I never liked anyway except for Firestarter), only to find out afterwards that it actually WAS The Prodigy. Any opinion

Any musings on how they became such a pale shadow of their early greatness also welcome, or if you beliwve they are greater now than they've ever been

Prodigy = bad hair = bad pop

"Baby's Got a Temper" right? I know what you mean by parody with the same electronic wah-wah sound as "Firestarter" and the guitar-feedback build ups. Except it's only 100 BPM or so which makes it sound like something off of that last Crystal Method album with Tom Morello guitars. That's sort of unfortunate.

Hmm. Now I don't know if I'm really looking forward to this or fearing it. I must say, though, that I LOVED the video for "Smack My Bitch Up".

If that song's any indication, then to hell with it- scrap Always Outnumbered Never Whateverthehellitis and just let Liam make Dirtchamber mix CDs for the next five years instead.

(It is nice to know that the Breeders are still getting royalties for that "S.O.S." sample, though.)

It sounds like a parody alright, except one sample actually is from Firestarter. I've only heard the instrumental, mind (which is actually on sale this week as a limited edition one sided 12").
