This album is amazing and I haven't heard it in several years. I almost posted the track listing, but got derailed. Fuck, I should have made this a poll. Sigh. Maybe later.

it doesn't need to be a poll because that would imply faults exist somewhere in this album.

Yes, it's fantastic - snotty, energetic, and rocks like a bastard. I don't like 'Naggin' Woman much though!

Dr. C! Haven't seen you around in so long! There was another bloke who posted as "Doctor Casino" recently that I was fooled into believing it was you, but I soon realized it couldn't be true.

who the fuck is richie unterberger and why does he write about music
Review by Richie Unterberger The Kinks' second album, Kinda Kinks finds the band relying more on original material, but has similarly threadbare production and songwriting for the most part. This sounds like a rush job in both composition and performance, largely devoted to unexceptional, even generic, British Invasion pop/rock. Aside from the great hit "Tired of Waiting for You" and its driving B-side "Come On Now," in fact, nothing here stands out, with the exception of the lovely ballad "Something Better Beginning."

Of course it was a RUSH JOB - it was 1965! That's the way to make albums anyway - knock 'em out in a week max.
Threadbare production? It's fucking beat-pop, and it sounds great!

don't have this. how's their dancing in the street?

Not as good as the Who did it.

The album was the beginning of things getting better. It does show signs of the greatness found from "Face To Face" and a few years onwards. There were even more signs on "The Kink Kontroversy" though.
