"It Wasn't Me" was the most melodic out of these three, so I am voting for that one.

Why no "Oh Carolina"?

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 23 October 2008 22:29 (seventeen years ago)

i wouldn't have take 5,000-1 odds on $2 that geir hongro was going to be the first to respond to this thread

jordan s (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 23 October 2008 22:32 (seventeen years ago)

taken

anyway i picked these three songs because they are the best this poll isn't democratic

i think "angel" is the most melodic. it reminds me of sugar ray

jordan s (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 23 October 2008 22:32 (seventeen years ago)

"Boombastic" because when it came out I changed the lyrics to make a Ocean Spray jingle. I used to drink much more than I do now.

EZ Snappin, Thursday, 23 October 2008 23:00 (seventeen years ago)

The doctor calls me Mr. Boom.....

"Angel" is awful, btw

It's not like I would have voted for "Oh Carolina" anyway.
I can buy that "Angel" is kind of melodic too. I hate "Boombastic" though.

Boombastic by a mile. Great track.

chap, Monday, 27 October 2008 00:17 (seventeen years ago)

Eventually I am going to write a book or a website or something about the ten best singles of the 90s, and Boombastic is going to be in there.

Doctor Casino, Monday, 27 October 2008 02:18 (seventeen years ago)

I like "Dance and Shout" pretty well.

"It Wasn't Me"

Someone Still Loves You Evan and Jaron (Tape Store), Monday, 30 March 2009 14:36 (sixteen years ago)

awesome lyrics!

Someone Still Loves You Evan and Jaron (Tape Store), Monday, 30 March 2009 14:37 (sixteen years ago)

"It Wasn't Me" is the best, but that's mostly due to the brilliant chorus and the guest singer's silky voice; Shaggy feels more like a guest star there. "Mr. Boombastic" is a better Shaggy performance.

Tuomas, Monday, 30 March 2009 14:41 (sixteen years ago)

Btw, why didn't that guest singer become a star in his own right? His voice is so pretty.

Tuomas, Monday, 30 March 2009 14:42 (sixteen years ago)

two years pass...

so i had NO IDEA shaggy sang "boombastic" until i was on the "it wasn't me" wikipedia page earlier today

the world is new

stephen miller is not your friend (Eric H.), Thursday, 4 January 2024 19:10 (two years ago)

Does everyone ride for the OG album/Levis commercial version of "Boombastic" or the MTV music video Marvin Gaye Sting International remix version?

The SoyBoy West Coast (Whiney G. Weingarten), Thursday, 4 January 2024 19:16 (two years ago)

Obviously I ride for the album version that sounds like the Bug

The SoyBoy West Coast (Whiney G. Weingarten), Thursday, 4 January 2024 19:18 (two years ago)

“Oh Carolina” was the worst Margaritaville-type bar-with-a-dance-floor in the summer of ‘93, cute Peter Gunn sample and all. Sounds better now than it did then!

underwater as a compliment (Eazy), Thursday, 4 January 2024 19:48 (two years ago)

*worst song
