This Week's SNL Musical Guest

So David Cook, who I guess was the guy from last year's American Idol, was the musical guest on SNL tonight. He was pretty boring, as expected, but thankfully Beyonce is going to be on next episode. Sorry if this has been done before, but I searched and all I could find were threads that were special to one specific night. I guess this can be used as a running thread to discuss the current week's performer, upcoming performers, and people who you would like to see perform on the show.

and off topic, but the show has been pretty bad tonight. ben affleck has been ok, his bit as olbermann has some pretty great moments but kind of overstayed its welcome

If David Cook keeps treating his voice the way he's treating it right now, this will be the only album he ever makes.

ugh, i guess kings of leon are going to be on next week. they definitely make sense as an SNL guest, i just wish they were, uh, not so bad. still, beyonce in two weeks!

Kevin Keller, Sunday, 2 November 2008 04:48 (sixteen years ago)

cook is on again. i suppose his music is inoffensive in the most bland, boring way, but i wish i could say the same thing about his clothes. lol @ his little bracelets too.

I was hoping Obama would be on tonight so that David Cook could pass on some of his national-competition-winning mojo on to him.

Any vids of the cold open up yet?

beyonce tonight!
anyone got the guts to say she'll perform anything BUT "single ladies" and "if i were a boy"? (not that this would be a bad thing)
