Hello Noodle Vague. Thank you for your time posting a song. I take your commitment to asking me a question seriously.
The verdict is in: your song sounds fun and bumping! But it isn't like I would pay for that album. If I heard it at a bar I wouldn't complain though. I still rather hear something less rap at a bar unless it's a tried-and-true song or some hip-hop song that I like specifically.
As far as the video/song combo goes I prefer this one:

The Vamps of '28 (unregistered), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 19:34 (seventeen years ago)

Hello Ismael Klata. Are we getting a little bluesy? This song is obviously good but it's the same ol' same ol'. Not much to talk about here. I could try to write something, a more substantial review - but the song is what it is, and nothing more than sweet jane and poppycocks. keep on truckin' in the free world.

❤ⓛⓞⓥⓔ❤ (CaptainLorax), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 19:36 (seventeen years ago)

Hello, Vamps of '28. That song/video combo scares the shit out of me. But it might make some old blind person happy. Thanks for sharing your interests with me.

Edward III, Tuesday, 4 November 2008 20:09 (seventeen years ago)

Hey Ismael, I try to be open minded with world music since one of my best friends is Ethiopian - great musical theatrics in this video, also stomping. And funky vocals make it A+. There's something that I totally love about really great about 'non-exclusively repetitive' and funky vocal patterns. Take Lizzy Mercier Descloux - Sports Spootnicks for example. However, I do like the song I mentioned better than the song in your video. But I could totally drink a piña colada out of a coconut and get my freak on at this concert. Actually, around 7:00 it's starting to get repetitive. But the ending is different.

❤ⓛⓞⓥⓔ❤ (CaptainLorax), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

Edward III, come on, if I was tripping right now that video would only make have the shits. But since I'm sober, I have to admit it is halfway cool. Especially the fast part halfway through the song. I'm not taking this review any more serious than that.

❤ⓛⓞⓥⓔ❤ (CaptainLorax), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 20:17 (seventeen years ago)

Excellent stuff, CaptainLorax. I saw that band (they are called Monobloco) in the summer, and it's certainly the most fun I've ever had at a concert. The only downside was that the torrent of drumming left my ears ringing for weeks afterwards

'Mabus' from the hilarious Nostradamus prophecies (Batty), Tuesday, 4 November 2008 22:59 (seventeen years ago)

Vision, Wednesday, 5 November 2008 01:08 (seventeen years ago)

BAtty, your video no longer works.
Vision, it's amazing what a guy can do on a 12-string guitar. The melody is one of a kind, I'm interested in knowing what chord he keeps going back to because he definitely isn't playing only power chords. Great sound - extremely talented musician, I'm surprised he could even see the strings, being the mop-head that he is.

I rather people start linking me to bands or non-instrumental music though :/

I would like to use this thread for an introduce to great music - my secret agenda

Listen to this on (really good) headphones:

z "R" s (Z S), Wednesday, 5 November 2008 19:03 (seventeen years ago)

awesome - I don't have time for a long review right now. Even though the chorus is repetitive, it's got enough subtle change throughout the flow of the song and not to mention a full onslaught of beautiful sounds - the ripping guitar sound byte + the chime synths + great rhythm guitar line and funkyness throughout make this track a standout. I'll go as far as to say that this song is my favorite one posted so far. If it wesn't so repetitive I might put it on a mix cd. Hell I might do it anyways, it would make a great opening track.

CaptainLorax, Thursday, 26 March 2009 23:05 (seventeen years ago)

Did you ever put "Cavalier King Charles...Spaniel" as an opening track on a mixtape?

I f'd up the word rear (Z S), Thursday, 26 March 2009 23:09 (seventeen years ago)

no but I just listened through most of it again, so maybe I will one day. (also ledge's video/song is much better this time around)
I made a mix I really like for the 2009 ILX DJ mix competition. Of course it's not techno so don't I think a lot of people that that thread attracts were enthusiastic about it (well I dunno, I didn't get any comments yet). If only muxtape still worked. I never got to POST YO 'FAVORITE SONGS EVER' MUXTAPE.

CaptainLorax, Thursday, 26 March 2009 23:19 (seventeen years ago)

then again, I don't think a lot of people got feedback for their mixes

I'll play it all back to back tomorrow and then I'll probably tell you it's cool. I've had the 6ths on my ipod forever and I only have 8gb

the songs I can specifically remember from your mix are by GY!BE and Jim O'Rourke. I'm making a part 2 of my mix and maybe I'll end up borrowing some of your selection

CaptainLorax, Wednesday, 14 April 2010 19:26 (sixteen years ago)

the music I listen to is made solely of wind chimes and pan flutes

鬼の手 (Edward III), Wednesday, 14 April 2010 19:29 (sixteen years ago)

I realize more than half of the music in my mixes are not folk-rock but the mixes flow well and the folk-rock names just stuck. Plus I spent a lot of time making #2 and #3 this year. These are my annual mixes per-se and I spend a long time on song choice and electric feel yo

in awe of the bold new approach to music criticism on display herein. U WANT MY OPINION? COME & GET IT BITCH

next-level shit imo, accommodates musicians' desires to be blogged in the most efficient way possible, imaginin Lorax in full-on egyptian king regalia dispensing his perspectives from a velvety throne while scantily-clad nubile servants lower grapes into his mouth
