ever since this thread, "and when he comes home, he's relaxed with Pep" has really leaped out to me when I hear this song. makes me smile every time.

it never occurred to me that Pepa is saying "he's relaxed with Pep," i always heard the line as "relaxed with pep," like he's chilling but he's also pepped up and ready to you know what

hahaa and here i've always thought four ilxors were really touched with the idea of just like getting back to Pepa's apartment, listening to some records, playing with the cat.

Isn't there also an Eric B & Rakim song called "Relax With Pep?" Possibly some short-lived 90s hip-hop terminology that died on the vine (see also: "slow your roll," which I started saying as a joke and is now a phrase I actually use when the dog is pestering me to go outside)
