I've only heard the singles but I've thought every one was a boon to Canadian rock radio, especially "Downtime" and "Watching the Girl". Sort of a hippier, poppier post-post-Pixies Pixies or almost like the spirit of "Dancing Days"/"Houses Of the Holy" pop-Zep fit into more stripped-down, up-to-date mod-rock form - approriately led by the shrillest frontman Canada's had to offer since Geddy Lee feasted on honeydew. So you, what do you say, eh? Any good? Know from the albums?

Destroy: that people always correct me when I pronounce their name properly. Maybe you should go to Poon-jab and learn to speak Hindu. Fuck.

the pixies? more like candlebox. but then i have only heard the godawful 'first day of spring'.

I actually thought "First Day Of Spring" was a great pansy-rock anthem when it came out but I do think their singles have improved since then. "Downtime" is fantastic. AMG compares his voice to Perry Farrell, which might be apt.

I always say "gone-DARR-vuz". Correct me.

I still have their first album in my collection, mostly for the "godawful single", which I think is pretty cool. (I also keep The Rhinos in my collection for "Fantastic Place to Be". Sometimes a single song is enough.)

I always say "bland-ARGH-vuz".
