I'm choosing this disc as the one from which the choices come because it's really all I'm familiar with. My dad had this on CD and I used to listen to it all the time. Not much discussion on the group that I found from searching either, so here goes.

"Walk Like a Man". Although there are some interesting later entries in "Beggin'" and "December 1963" too.

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 20 November 2008 02:10 (seventeen years ago)

It's "Dawn." But "Rag Doll" and "Ronnie" both come close.

J0hn D., Thursday, 20 November 2008 02:39 (seventeen years ago)

very similar choices for me! Rag Doll was my father's favorite, and he used to play it in the car for ten-year old me all the time. "Dawn" grew to be my favorite though, with "big man in town" and "girl come running" being up there too (brian wilson WISHES he wrote the falsetto melody in the bridge of the latter. so gorgeous)

Since Can't Take My Eyes Off You wasn't on the other poll, and it is incredible, it gets my vote here.

Chaud de poper le wheelie au démarrage (PappaWheelie V), Thursday, 20 November 2008 06:18 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, that's why this poll improves upon the previous one. But nothing ever tops "Sher-err-ERR-erererry bay-ay-bee" for me. That voice!

"December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" is not a bad song but it's not their best by any means!

HOW DID "WHO LOVES YOU" GET ZERO VOTES

I would have voted for "Rag Doll" – sad that I missed this poll.

^this is the one I have & it is the business. Someone just gave it to me, too! It was new & unopened in the backseat of his SUV and I complimented him on buying it. He said, "That's been back there for months, you can have it if you want." Well fuck yes I do!
