never particularly a fan of their music, but their personnel struck me as being very good folks. one night at a show their guitarist leaped up onto a table where people were sitting at while drinking pints...nothing broke, he somehow did it seamlessly and magically; i've no idea how, but i will forever be impressed by that feat. at the time they were doing a cover of that song (barbarians?) you say you're a boy, but you look like a girl

my wife auditioned to replace the bass player of this band after they fired their original bass player (after the fox). i don't remember all the stories but it sounded like a creepy situation

i think they eventually (like months later) asked her if she wanted to join the band but it would have involved moving to DC and like i said the audition had been weird
