i assume so because i got a cut-out of it about a year ago. Its pretty good , apart from the tracks the aptly-named Dredd Fool sings on.

Hey, don't knock Dredd - the Foole is cool (his first alb on Homestead, backed by The Din (eg Volcano Suns, mostly), is a stone classic.)

You often see 'Ecim' cheap in the UK too - shouldn't be too hard to find. I will always have a soft spot for this alb 'cos it got me into Fahey (via their cover of 'The Portland Cement Factory')...

_ECIM_ is available directly from the band for $15; the details are on this website: http://people.bu.edu/nsmith/orderform.htm

Here is the Cul de Sac site: http://www.culdesac.org/

Good album, isn't it? I have to skip "Song to the Siren" though...

I see copies of this all the time too - I paid $3 for mine (new) about 18 months ago..

Has anyone picked up this new reissue of "ECIM"?? Is it worth shelling out the 15 bones??

it's worth it. they did a nice job cleaning up the sound, without losing the punchiness of the original. bonus trax aren't amazing though...

And I'm quoted on the sticker on the front cover. Which is v. nice.

i agree that it's a pretty swell reissue. strange attractors is a pretty groovy label.

new glenn jones on thrill jockey is sounding exquisite. closes with a 17-minute jam w/ chris corsano!

I've been playing Death Of The Sun a lot lately... haven't kept up w/Jones' work.

tyler, this is electric stuff?

Axolotl with an Atlatl (Jon Lewis), Thursday, 15 September 2011 22:48 (fourteen years ago)

no it's all solo acoustic guitar / banjo, til the corsano track which is acoustic + drums. last track is really something, corsano is amazing.

Really keen on hearing this, particularly after hearing about the Corsano track and reading our Ned's AMG review.

I personally think Death Of The Sun is even better, but this record holds up

sleeve, Monday, 27 October 2025 21:35 (four months ago)

Well, I was blown away by the Glenn Jones solo debut, headed here, maybe even more blown away. Two equally brilliant records tbh

(and I'll definitely be hearing all of CdS)
