A sister thread to: Bands we can all agree to hate, or like.
cause maybe it's easier to agree on a particular song.
― Zeno, Saturday, 22 November 2008 06:50 (seventeen years ago)
ok, ill start:
1. Ambulance Blues.who doesn't like this song, ha?
― Zeno, Saturday, 22 November 2008 06:54 (seventeen years ago)
i'm a little drunk right now, and i've had "ignition (remix)" on rrepeat for about 20 minutes now.
― Kevin Keller, Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:00 (seventeen years ago)
so that song.
chances are i'm going to dislike most suggestions, such as these first two
― thereminimum chips (electricsound), Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:01 (seventeen years ago)
dislike Ignition too,sorry
― Zeno, Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:03 (seventeen years ago)
well you guys really really suck.
but i clicked that link and lolll @t the irony of someone naming rick astley about half the way down the page. that was six years ago!
― Kevin Keller, Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:06 (seventeen years ago)
no rick rolls, etc. not sure why im so facsinated by this actually
One more here to dislike ignite.
― Moka, Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:27 (seventeen years ago)
I mean: Ignition (remix)
― Moka, Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:29 (seventeen years ago)
I like THIS Igntion
and THIS Rick Astley
Both remind me of high school.
― The New Herb Stempel (PappaWheelie V), Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:32 (seventeen years ago)
tons of people probably would hate "ambulance blues" too. not me, but some people, who don't have the desire to hear to neil young stumble through eight minutes or whatever of sad-sack mumbo jumbo.
― ian, Saturday, 22 November 2008 07:35 (seventeen years ago)
Anyone who claims not to like Take On Me is almost certainly lying. Ditto Billie Jean.
― chap, Saturday, 22 November 2008 11:23 (seventeen years ago)
Does anyone on ILM, like, actually enjoy "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt?
― Geir Hongro, Saturday, 22 November 2008 11:38 (seventeen years ago)
Pointless thread. I loathe this collectivistic, slightly fascist "we" attempts on ILM.
― Vision, Saturday, 22 November 2008 11:49 (seventeen years ago)
Yeah! "We" suck.
Regardless, here are some songs we all like.
Surrender: Cheap TrickOnce In A Lifetime: Talking HeadsFamily Affair: Sly and the Family StoneTrain In Vain: The ClashAny Major Dude Will Tell You: Steely DanSign O' The Times: PrinceBring The Noise: Public Enemy
― kornrulez6969, Saturday, 22 November 2008 14:04 (seventeen years ago)
Almost. I don't like The Clash.
I always thought Outkast's Hey Ya! fitted into the everyone likes it category.
Going slightly off topic, I think universal songs that everyone likes are rarer these days - as we have so much choice.

Bring The Noise: Public Enemy
Not me, no. :)
― Geir Hongro, Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:09 (seventeen years ago)
Finding something we all dislike is probably easier. I already mentioned "You're Beautiful". And does anyone here like "You Remind Me" by Nickleback?
― Geir Hongro, Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:10 (seventeen years ago)
I have to admit to that one being a bit of a guilty pleasure. You're Beautiful is obviously excerable, though.
― chap, Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:15 (seventeen years ago)
thinking with nickelback you can pick just about any of their songs and we'll be near-unanimous. i have to say that after hearing "you're beautiful" thirty times on the radio in the span of about a week a couple years ago or whenever that was, my reaction to it changed from strong hate to benign indifference.
― Kevin Keller, Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:34 (seventeen years ago)
I don't like "Take On Me".
― Freedom, Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:43 (seventeen years ago)
Or "Billie Jean".
the first time I heard it, I assumed that every creature with ears would hate "Disarm" by Smashing Pumpkins with a seething, throbbing intensity, but I was wrong about that
― J0hn D., Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:44 (seventeen years ago)
disarm is one of the only good smashing pumpkins songs imho
― ian, Saturday, 22 November 2008 18:58 (seventeen years ago)
disarm is a dope song
― :) Mrs Edward Cullen XD (max), Saturday, 22 November 2008 19:02 (seventeen years ago)
This thread is an invitation for challops.

roadrunner (wrongly) got some hate in a poll a few weeks ago
― Kevin Keller, Sunday, 23 November 2008 03:44 (seventeen years ago)
jolene ftw.
― ian, Sunday, 23 November 2008 03:46 (seventeen years ago)
do not want: MIA, modern lovers, television, the clash or talking heads. the rest are A+ would listen again.

― kornrulez6969, Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:02 (seventeen years ago)
i think all of ILM should probably love "PIlls" by Bo Diddley. or chuck berry's "maybeline."
― ian, Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:06 (seventeen years ago)
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaa whoaaaa yeah
― nikefanatic90: Sup (Z S), Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:10 (seventeen years ago)

― Kevin Keller, Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:11 (seventeen years ago)
Unnecessary message board section. I abhor esto tendency of people to believe that land and capital should be owned by society collectively or as a whole, barely extreme right wing "we" endeavor on ILM.
― nikefanatic90: Sup (Z S), Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:19 (seventeen years ago)
PS Gary Numan "Metal"
I am tired of activist posters. Why do you hate ILM?
― kornrulez6969, Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:32 (seventeen years ago)
"metal" is sweet. what about al green? i bet there's an al green song we can all agree on.
― Matt P, Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:48 (seventeen years ago)
If someone has the guts to claim that they do not like "Let's Stay Together", let them do it now.
― nikefanatic90: Sup (Z S), Sunday, 23 November 2008 04:53 (seventeen years ago)
Little known fact but John Galt's middle name is "Vision".

we all like Madness - Our House right??? I mean it doesn't even get very annoying like most songs when you here them over and over.
― ❤ⓛⓞⓥⓔ❤ (CaptainLorax), Sunday, 23 November 2008 07:35 (seventeen years ago)
MIA - paper planes is annoying after 200 times at a bar

Did you read that Astral Weeks thread, Lorax?
― If Timi Yuro would be still alive, most other singers could shut up, Sunday, 23 November 2008 08:49 (seventeen years ago)
I mean, I don't even think people could agree that the album was on Warner Bros. or had a black and green cover, much less anything else.
everyone better hate 'follow me' by uncle kracker
― Matt P, Sunday, 23 November 2008 09:05 (seventeen years ago)
maybe miccio can defend it in a uniquely pauline kael style
