i wonder if the smiths themselves espoused a similar "everyone must win" attitude

Hurrah! It's the poll that had to be made.

'Money Changes Everything' for its good, driving rhythm and excellent bridge and chorus (if instrumentals have such things). Good drumming too on the live versions I have. Plus Bryan Ferry's version is suitably louche (a word I had to look up, glad to find I'm using it correctly). 'I Keep Mine Hidden' is fine as far as it goes and there's a lovely chord change on "you let yours slide/flail", but it's so slight that it's hard to remember, let alone vote for. I'd assumed it was a kitsch throwaway cover, am a bit surprised to find it's an original.

i guess if these are the dregs of your entire back catalogue you're not doing too badly.

I Keep Mine Hidden is the last original track they recorded. not quite a blaze of glory.

i voted for I Keep Mine Hidden because the opening line, "yellow and green, a stumbling block, i'm a 20 digit combination to unlock" randomly pops into my head and makes me laugh.

that's a hard to read title

Money Changes Everything because it shares its title with my favorite Cyndi Lauper song.
