I couldn't find a thread on them on ILM (except for a Dollar/Animotion pic thread) and it's clearly timely.
I find it very hard to square up the David Van Day we've seen and laughed at in recent years with the one who played a key, if unknowing, role in the birth of New Pop.
I still think the tetralogy of singles they did with Trevor stands as one of the greatest achievements in pop.
But maybe it's the equivalent of Mike Love flicking his pants in the locker room and having to remember that in the end he DID sing "over and over the crow cries uncover the cornfield."
