Why not eliminate the chaff of ther rest of their careers & simply make this a "Flagpole Sitta" vs. "Sex & Candy" poll. I guess that's really what it is anyway. I'll take "..Sitta" by a commandingly large margin.

I know 5 songs by Marcy Playground and I like all 5 of them.. especially "St Joe On The Schoolbus." "Sex And Candy" grew on me over time more and more.. I think I like it more with every passing year.

Harvey Danger's follow-up single about Jesus was not my thing.

sex and candy isn't as bad as i remember. i guess i probably hated it because it was on the radio every five minutes and it had the word sex in the chorus (i distinctly remember being very offended by it). flagpole sitta, on the other hand, is quite terrific. since i'm not familiar with either of the wonders' non-one hits, i have to go with harvey danger as the clear winner here.

Well, since my friend and bandmate co-wrote "Sex & Candy", I kinda have an allegiance... They also wrote a song about her.

Funnily enough, the drummer of Harvey Danger was my best friend in 9th grade. But he turned into a cornball in college and we lost track of each other.
