Sean Kingston - Take You there

How is this kid this good? First "Beautiful Girls" now this? That little bouncy-ball synth noise makes it for me...one of the best pop/club songs of the year I'd say

Not that I care about such things but isn't this well and truly from last year?? Anyway this is good but my favourite Sean track is the irresistible "Me Love".

Damn it, last year, you're right. I was living in Spain for most of the past year so I'm a little behind on my pop music.
Much was made of how different the lyrics to "Beautiful Girls" were from everything else on black pop radio, how do you guys feel about the concept of this one? Somewhat more standard, with Sean offering to take shawty wherever she wants to go. But I dig the contrast of Jamaica as tourist paradise vs. Jamaica as hyperviolent ghetto. Reminds me of Damian Marley's "Welcome to Jamrock" but less political. Also, the lyrics make it clear Sean has no idea what the word "gunplay" means.
