Love both, but love "Break My Stride" the most.

"Break My Stride" bounced to the same beat as the guy in the Atari 2600 version of "Burgertime." Endless fun. Win.

Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder: classic or dud?

Haven't heard either one in ten years or so, but in my memories "Break My Stride" was pleasant, bouncy, and dull, and suffered from being used in an endlessly repeated Washington Redskins promo; "Too Late For Goodbyes," on the other hand, I'll totally stand behind. Sonically I think it was much like the extremely popular George Harrison comeback record of a few years later, but I would listen to "Too Late" a hundred times before I'd play "When We Was Fab" again.

"Too Late For Goodbyes" is nice, but still "When We Was Fab" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "Too Late For Goodbyes". Best ever George Harrison solo moment!

too late for goodbyes is maybe julian lennon's only redeeming musical output

Haha! I'm listening to this week's Casey Kasem '80s retro countdown show - it's a repeat of the show from Dec. 24, 1983 - and here at #10, "Break My Stride"!

This is freaking impossible.

Break My Stride pops in my head probably once a week. I love it. Haven't heard it in ages but i don't need to ever hear it again.

Is that the reason you're r-d-d-d-unning so fast?

I believe Alex in NYC and I covered long ago on the other thread that Break My Stride is one of THE most annoying, stupid songs on earth.

Strange bedfellows came up with that conclusion.

Oh, come now. Alex & I agreed on plenty of things and got along just fine.
