"On My Way to GA", but there may well only be 3 people on ILX who have heard this album (you, me, Whiney) and thus it's not really worth polling.

beggin-ass keith (The Reverend), Tuesday, 16 December 2008 21:59 (sixteen years ago)

i don't really have any ideas to start off with. i just listened to this and in the best possible way, nothing stands out, because everything stands out. it's a really, really great album.

xp yeah i know it'll get like 5 votes or whatever, it's just that i couldn't decide at all. didn't all of the ringtone crew hear this anyway?

lex pretend, Tuesday, 16 December 2008 22:00 (sixteen years ago)

and if no one's heard it, maybe giving it a thread of its own will inspire more people to

xp: Alright, I can get behind that. I had the same initial reaction, where I couldn't pick a favorite track because there were so many standouts, but by process of banging the fuck out of this album "GA" rose to the top.

beggin-ass keith (The Reverend), Tuesday, 16 December 2008 22:04 (sixteen years ago)

if pushed i'd lean towards a top 3 of 'good day', 'no static' and 'swerve & lean' but even that feels unfair

lex pretend, Tuesday, 16 December 2008 22:05 (sixteen years ago)

Still think "Flex" is weak sauce. It's like, what do I want to hear in 2008? Oh that's right. Fake-Neptunes circa-"Hell Hath No Fury" beats. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

beggin-ass keith (The Reverend), Tuesday, 16 December 2008 22:05 (sixteen years ago)

i think i need to bang the fuck out of it a bit more - but i've done that loads expecting the cream to rise, but it's ALL RISING

lex pretend, Tuesday, 16 December 2008 22:05 (sixteen years ago)

also i have not yet experienced this album in the summer - can hardly wait.

ALright you folks have me curious. I guess you don't agree with this view that I found online

Professor Arrington's Grade
The Humdinger tries to be all things to all people in an effort to broaden the group's fan base. In doing so, the group has compiled a disc that is more original than most mainstream work but pales in comparison to some of its earlier work. Long-time fams will wonder why the rest of the disc doesn't sound more like "Down 'n Out." With that in mind, The Humdinger earns a B-.
