Some of these folks are crazy.

I like the classifications - especially how Lynyrd Skynyrd & Don Rickles are together.

Iggy Pop isn't listed, but I've heard that his rider requests odd things (like what - I can't remember specifically: Parakeet, 27 rolls of paper towels, ...) just to make sure that someone read the contract.

DAMMIT

I remember back in the '70s reading an article about riders. Yes demanded lots of lentils and other vegetables, while the Rolling Stones demanded steaks and cold meat. I concluded that you could tell the quality of the band from the food they demanded. (N.B. This is not guaranteed to be a flawless critical methodology.)

Foo Fighters not only make funny videos, they make funny tour riders too. Pity about the songs.

The Guns 'n Roses requirements are worth checking out too. Axl is into Dom Perignon and Wonder Bread together (?!?!?!) and the rest of the band wants porn and guacamole (ack!) No wonder they couldn't survive...

We put Napalm Death on at The Garage a couple of years ago. The band are OK guys but the tour manager gave us this ridiculous ryder... one of the items he insisted on was 'Hot towels'. Wouldnt let them go on without them. In the end one of us took a bus into an area with shops and found some tea towels. This was supposed to be a low key warm up gig in a small venue.
