real talk: i was just driving and "independent" came on and i thought of this poll and then they played "miss independent" right after

reasons to vote for miss independent:
- great use of "flashing lights" organ
- cool drum sound
- "manicured nails to set the pedicure off"/"car and her crib she bout to pay em both off"

reasons to vote for independent:
- "she cook she clean never smell like onion rings"
- "BYE GUHL"
- thudding bass drum
- "I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T"

is "manicured nails to set the pedicure off" the actual gayest line, of many many gay lines, on the ne-yo album

actually 'miss independent' makes so much more sense as a gay man's fetishising of a powerful woman
