DDDBM&T's "Hold Tight" is one of my very earliest memories of pop: a hit just after my fourth birthday, and one of just a tiny handful of pop 7"s in my parents' collection. And it was also Dave Dee who first turned me on to Gong! Albeit in a roundabout way, in the middle of a "state of pop" round table discussion piece in Melody Maker in late 73 or early 74. RIPBM.

Was it 'Bend It' or 'Hold Tight' (or both?) that Fischer Z's 'Perfect Day' ripped off note for note in 1990?
