fuck yall i know ima come off like l-jag gettin hurt in the butt over dudes clowning blur vs muse or some ish but these are both dope rappers with 2-3 albums worth of better material than 90% of rappers out there doin it - i dont get really whats so lolarious about making the same joke over + over just cuz saigon's trey songz joint flopped and pap doesnt always rap on beat lol

a few weeks ago I probably would've laid off Saigon because yeah making fun of his album delays is getting kinda old...but he just announced that he's going to "single-handedly reinvent hip-hop" right after dropping an AutoTune single.

both good rappers. but both dont have many great/memorable songs. saigon used to seem like a 50/krs hybrid to me and i liked that first single just blaze produced from the album but these guys just release way too much. and the hype spewing out from papooses mouth in every interview is a bit silly at this point. good freestyle over criminology tho.

again who gives 2 shits about saigons wack radio moves you could do a triple album of certified dope saigon trax but yall waste time talkin shit and trading plies youtubes fukk that

of course you know i like both these corny ass dude a whole bunch. but overall i think saigon is a better, more on point rapper than papoose...like i really dug some of the pap mixtape stuff in yeah about 2004, but shit Saigon's first 12 inch alone makes him a classic in my book, that shit is way old by now and everything but yeah he's nice IMO.

papoose i've cooled on since his early stuff cuz he actually seemed to go backwards as a rapper IMO, like his flow managed to get sloppier if that was possible

I got amped about Papoose when I heard his verse on "Touch It" before I realized he recycled it 1000000x

also srs question ethan -- do you think that saigon and/or papoose are the best or among the best semi-mainstream NYC rappers to have emerged in their era (which let's say is '04 to present, post-50, etc.)? i'm not even sure who i'd say, but i feel like it would have to be someone other than those guys.
