oh shit that song was played out like a bitchmother on the radio, i still remember the chorus

one, you're like a dream come true
two, just wanna be with you
three, cuz it's plan to see that you're the only one for me and
four, repeat steps 1 through 3
five, make you fall in love with me
whenever i believe my work is done
then i'll start back at one

Grapevine, but I am totally sympatico to Boyz II Men and would have voted for "Motownphilly" if it was there.

The Reverend (rev), Wednesday, 14 January 2009 19:43 (seventeen years ago)

insufficient Lionel Ritchie support on thread

Calling All Creeps! (contenderizer), Wednesday, 14 January 2009 19:46 (seventeen years ago)

Musically, Im in the UK though and I don't listen to radio now (and haven't for years)

I really hate Boyz II Men.
x-post

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 14 January 2009 19:46 (seventeen years ago)

I was raised on them more or less. "Motownphilly" was the first tape I ever had. II was the first album.

The Reverend (rev), Wednesday, 14 January 2009 19:50 (seventeen years ago)

There is actually a part of me that wants to vote for "End of the Road."

nabisco, Wednesday, 14 January 2009 19:51 (seventeen years ago)

Like with the UK one, the tracks I like the most aren't perhaps the "Best". But fuck voting for a Best, I've gotta decide between "End of the Road" and "All Night Long".

"Two Ears" Laybelle (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 14 January 2009 19:57 (seventeen years ago)

lol, back at one OWNED

I seriously expected this to be better than the UK list, but I was wrong. Anyways, "I'll Be There". Possibly the best ever vocal performance by a preteen?

Geir Hongro, Tuesday, 20 January 2009 00:38 (seventeen years ago)

So the year after college this guy and I both had girlfriends at our alma mater, 14 hours from where we were living, and we took a road trip to visit these gals, and the drive was long and tedious, and as we neared the campus at something like 3 a.m. with the radio blasting to keep awake, "I'll Make Love to You" was on the air, and we sang along with it at the top of our lungs to get us through the home stretch to our ladies.

Whereas "Three Times A Lady" and "Endless Love" remind me of going out for pizza as a kid.

Eazy, Tuesday, 20 January 2009 00:41 (seventeen years ago)

And "Grapevine" is great, but I mostly associate it with a 7th grade chorus class where the lyrics were changed to "with some other girl that you knew before" because I was one of the only guys in the whole class.

Eazy, Tuesday, 20 January 2009 00:47 (seventeen years ago)

"Upside Down."

i am gay, though.

Jackson 5.

Pantheism F. Mohair (res), Tuesday, 20 January 2009 01:15 (seventeen years ago)

Boyz II Men certainly made more than their fair share of the worst music in the world, but they had a couple tight songs..."Water Runs Dry" is the jam...

somebody should do a II poll

when David becomes the new Goliath (Drugs A. Money), Tuesday, 20 January 2009 02:05 (seventeen years ago)

I would be down with that
