Prefer the Oh No track at the start as an instrumental

I just listened to this and liked it quite a bit. He's not quite in top form, but he's not messing around either. A lot of the production is great.

I'm on about my sixth listen and I think I'm ready to call it his best since the classic BOBS. The New Danger is really brilliant for the most part as well but the lows (Limp-Bizkit-esque chugga-chugga FWUCK DAT rock) are abysmal. This one is very scatterbrained with overall short tracks, lots of quick musical changes and weird spoken word samples, kind of like Madvillain. It definitely takes some time to sink in, but when it does--look out! haha
Slick Rick (!) verse on Auditorium is great, lots of "exotic" samples cf. The Embassy. Dudes were hating on Life in Marvelous Times on an older Def thread but I love it. An honest-to-god keyboard banger in the middle of a pretty avant-garde album. I wish there wasn't quite so much singing (Mostly by MD himself, but the I don't love the woman singing Roses either), but it's generally very good.
I'll have to listen a few more times to evaluate lyrics.
His performance of Quiet Dog on Letterman was great too:

This album didn't really hook me earlier in the year outside of a few songs (Quiet Dog the most), but today it sounds fantastic!

not ecstatic related but
'new world water' pops into my head all the time
