You guys. Covert Shazam-ing

I was playing tunes at a bar in town from 7-9pm, like i do every thursday.

Halfway through, a guy walks in and sits at the bar like a 2x4. Every now and then, he gets up, then comes back. He was doing this every 10 minutes all the while looking not waiting for anybody or striking conversations with the bartender nor any of the other folks there.

So, after I was done and on my way out, a friend of mine outside smoking tells me that "some guy was going into the men's bathroom all night pointing his iPhone at the bathroom speakers recording you!"

I would guess he was probably using that function that IDs songs, but that is pretty weirdo behavior.

i got mistaken for the drummer of that rock band Jet once, it was pretty crazy

since he didn't bother asking u what songs we're playing, he is either a quiet music freak, or he is in the big leagues - stealing your music taste for the man to play at outback steakhouse

i always like to think of shazam as some music nerds in a little room 24/7, identifying your songs
