"Cattle and Cane" is a very respectable favorite song.

My second favorite is probably "Alex Chilton".

Very good question. *thinks*

Toss-up between "Swamp Thing" by the Chameleons, the Entreat version of "Disintegration" by the Cure or "Xtal" by the Aphex Twin.

They're not my favorites because they're not "Soon."

"Thunder Road" Bruce Springsteen. God knows why it's my second. It's been my first, at times. But it isn't currently.

2nd Favorite: "She Sells Sanctuary" by the Cult

Second fave song? "All that love and maths can do" by Durutti Column. For a long time it was my number one, but then "A winter's dawn" by the Yesterday Sky topped it. How can I be so certain? Because every three years I compile a top 40 songs of all time list, and those were the results the last time I did it.

Yeah, I AM that sad.

I don't know how people manage to have their favorite songs lined up in such orderly ranked lists.

"Mr. Bitterness" by Soul Coughing is not my favorite song because "Born Under Punches" is my favorite song.

"That's the Joint" is both my second-favorite record (after the Incredible Bongo Band's "Apache") and my second-favorite song (after "You've Really Got a Hold on Me").
