Early on this served as my Ramones bible, before I started picking up the individual albums and really immersing myself in the band. I have plenty of favorites that didn't make the cut here (the very first of about 700 different Ramones compilations), but this should still make for a good poll.

wau i was just now listening to ramones, making some discs for a friend who just saw end of the century. "kkk" was the one i just had on so i'll vote that because i think pleasant dreams gets short shrift in the canon. but almost everything on this album falls within my general parameters of perfect music.

(i didn't find out "kkk" was about johnny stealing joey's girl until years after i first loved the song, but that just makes it better.)

Seems like I knew that at some point, but had completely forgotten.

Always thought Havana Affair should have made this, that and Danny Says. In lieu, RnR Radio.

wau sometimes the Ramones are an ILM hit, and sometimes not. Didn't expect this poll to be deadsville.

^^^ same experience here. I vote for "Rock n Roll High School" as the best song that isn't on the first four records.

Not on here, but -- Judy Is A Punk.

Mahatma Blagojevich (redmond), Thursday, 5 February 2009 01:37 (sixteen years ago)

Favorite Ramones song? Next to impossible. Judy is a Punk and I Love Her So should really be on here, but I guess I'd have to go...Sheena.

I guess it's good in a way that Ramones Mania omitted so many essential songs, because that made finding them on the albums so much better.

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 5 February 2009 03:14 (sixteen years ago)

I'm picked "Howling at the Moon". I love the "Glowing, glowing..." verses.

kingkongvsgodzilla, Thursday, 5 February 2009 13:30 (sixteen years ago)

Otherwise, would've gone with I Just Wanna Have Something To Do or Chinese Rock.

Didn't even know they made a RamonesMania 2!

Judy is a Punk and Pet Cemetary are my two favorites and theyre not here :(
Sheena perhaps? I cant decide I dont have any particular favorite amongst these. I will double anyone's vote if they suggest me something.

I wish they'd waited one more year so they could include Brain Drain stuff, so yeah...

Tough poll.

I think I'm going to go with 'Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio?' but it could have been any one of a dozen or more.
