My turntable, a Technics, seems to enjoy varispeeding on it's own nowadays. At has an adjustment, and a strobe on the edge, but it never wants to stay the same speed.
I got a new elastic band for it recently.
It is about 19 years old.
Wojjer reckon?

If it can't be fixed with a new elastic band and a squirt of super glue (which recently remedied a similar issue with my player), it's quite possibly cheaper to see what's looking good at richer sounds.

Superglue? Whereabouts?

My (NAD) record player has a lift-off turntable and you have to manually move the "elastic band" underneath to change from 33 to 45. The central piece of plastic (technical term?) that the "elastic band" was connected to needed a dab of super glue, which stopped it slipping.
