One sounds like Zeppelin fronted by Grace Slick, and the other is the sound of a witch flying on a dove made of cocaine.

the other is the sound of a witch flying on a dove made of cocaine.

lol best description ever!

And, of course, the white-winged cocaine dove gets my vote.

Edge of Seventeen is about my favorite Stevie Nicks song, Fleetwood Mac included. I love that rolling guitar riff, it almost sounds like a sequencer line.

If I had a copy of Barracuda, I would miss Edge of Seventee more than if I had a copy of Edge of Seventeen and was missing Barracuda.

But I would have been happy with either winning.

I know I already told everyone this on the other thread, but I got this DVD by Stevie Nicks called Live at Red Rocks and it absolutely kicks ass.

White-winged doves have to be the stupidest fucking creatures in existence. I had to shoo one out of my laundry room just now. I was like, "Dovey, couldn't you just walk towards the door?" No, I had to laboriously usher it out with a broomstick.

Further proof that they are the dumbest creatures:

- Back when my dog was alive (RIP) he would regularly eat white-winged doves, whole. It was distressing, but I learned after trying to rescue one from his mouth that it was just safer for me and the dove both to let it happen. I felt bad for the doves, but they wouldn't even try very hard to run away.

- I watched a pair of white-winged doves make a nest in a pine tree. The male dove (pretty sure it was the male dove; unlike many birds, they're not gender dimorphic) was gathering materials for the nest. It would grab a needle from the bottom of the nest, bring it to the top like "Hey, look what I found!" and repeat. When the eggs were laid, they lasted very briefly – the eggs sank through the lace-like bottom of the shitty nest, and fell to the ground and died.

I don't know where I was when they ran this poll but there's eleven people who need their asses kicked according to me, Barracuda all day tbh

OTOH if you listen to Edge of Seventeen at or near the peak of a mushrooms trip it will sear itself into yr young consciousness so there's that

Fuck yeah – one of my fondest memories is sophomore year of college, me and my best friend who lived together and worked together and went to college together were just *stressed* *to* *hell* with finals week. "Barracuda" came on the radio and we were like 'wtf is this song about?' so we took a 20 minute break from nonstop studying to figure it out. I still have our notes!

Crabbits that is so fuckin cool. That was me in 5th grade only w/lesser vocab, Heart was my absolute favorite band back then and I would worry long hours trying to figure out shit like "sell me, sell you, the porpoise said, dive down, deep down, save my head, you / I think that you got the blues, too"
