Excellent band. No thread until now.

I Can't Believe It's Not Reggae! is an excellent album. Not-so-excellent album title.

"Eliot's Violet Hour" is a super amazing single.

All Behind The Witchtower is a nice album. Excellent album title.

^^^ I had this one. Smart record! Can't remember a lot about it though.

I am pretty much the only person I know who likes Ectogram. By which I mean I know quite a lot of people au fait with them but almost all of them just get nothing out of the band. Whatever, they have some really awes backwoods Sonic Youth jams and warbly vox from the lady in the band, I am happy to go to bat for them. Keep meaning to pick up this newish split CD album with this band from North Wales called Klaus Kinski who sound kinda like Landed at times. I also have all three Fflaps albums, not hits all the way by any means but when they nailed a tune, they really did.

I think I might have actually seen Fflaps play at some stage round about 89/90. Might be misremembering, but I think I saw them with the Dandelion Adventure (similar sort of grubby indie racket, but with some fat bloke Mark E Smith impersonator on vocals).

Now you know some more.

I lay claim to getting Mackro interested in their goodness -- I'd seen a copy of I Can't Believe... sitting around my old favorite record store in the nineties/early part of this decade and either snagged it during clearance or some exchange thing, and played it for him, friend Stripey and I think someone else too, and we all went, "Whoa, this is great!"

AMG reviews from yours truly here and here, not among my best.
