Haha didnt know what I was thinking. I found this album amidst my dad's record collection and it all sounds so antiseptic to me I thought ilx would enlighten me.

Sister Golden Hair pwns all

Ventura/SGH/Tin Man are *so* good that it's really a shame that everything else they did is so boring. I want to live in the theoretical world where these guys were reliably good songwriters.

I think I'm gonna pick Ventura. Is there a reason why big ben in that picture?

"Sister Golden Hair" is a perfect 'hot damn am I lonely or what' long-gap-between-relationships song.

I loved this album when it came out though I haven't listened to it in eons. Looking over the list, Sister Golden Hair definitely stands out, though.

Also it is one of the few that doesn't have lyrics like "Alligator lizards in the air...IN THE AIR!" I mean those are amusing but I wish they'd have not done it as much.

well, yes, true but that kinda misses the fact that they were the kids of US Air Force officers stationed in the UK so the America thing was wasn't totally fake

Well wasnt that off, then. At first I noticed Ventura Highway as the highlight because it had some kind of balearic sound, and I thought ilx would definitely dig that, so I'll use that song as an excuse to start the poll. Listening to Golden Hair after completely overlooking it. It's quite good.

Is it bad if I think Muskrat Love has some redeeming qualities?

Classic Rock radio plays several of these songs daily now, but wouldn't have touched any of it except "Horse" in the pre-classic era. Horse With Name was the first song I learned on guitar. I think it takes two fingers making two chords.

I voted "Golden Hair" because i got so damned depressed.

"Sister Golden Hair" by a huge margin, I think I've gone on about it on another thread but the riff is like pure concentrated longing. I could do without the boogie ending though.
