Suggest Bans for anybody repping for not "The Lamia" or "Anyway".

Worst "plot" and ending ever, btw.

I agree with "The Lamia". Although "The Chamber Of 32 Doors" comes close.

What do you think about Side 4, Geir? It falls off a hell of a lot for me, a real vibe of "let's just finish the fucker."

Now I only know the album through the CD, but I believe I tend to agree. When a reprise of the title track feels like a highlight on the last side, it does say something about the rest not quite holding up.

um, Sgt. Pepper?

Actually on a re-listen "In the Rapids" has nice bits which foreshadow Gabriel's early solo stuff. Still, the whole wobbly plot just collapses in ridiculousness and I still find "It" underwhelming.

"It" was sort of supposed to be a highlight, I guess. But it doesn't really work out. Cool intro, but that's it.

The first three sides were all brilliant though ;)

I think maybe the intro to "If" cops a little bit from "Pinball Wizard", ironically enough.

I made my friend, for his birthday, little sculptures of the lamia and one of rael with a detachable penis.

I vote "Back in NYC." Jeff Buckley's cover was surprisingly good!

Also the "plot" is the total awesome!

I love Genesis but there's Expressionistic and then there's Making Shit Up As You Go Along.

I was reading some fansites yesterday and they were low on illumination, to say the least.

I also can't help loling a bit at the band's insistence on "we wanted to do something about a tough street kid, miles away from the fairytale stuff" in light of the fact that it's about a tough street kid who speaks more or less like Peter Gabriel and goes on an adventure featuring mythical monsters and detachable penises and stuff.

Far too few votes, but love seeing "The Lamia" on top. A beautiful piece of music.
