'Britney Spears' is an anagram of 'Presbyterians'
Going to guess this is extremely famous. My team missed it--me, especially, I'm supposed to get all music-related questions--in a trivia thing last night.

That's good too... whereas Bra Spite Syren isn't.

I mean, it’s in the quote above:
”Did you know that Britney Spears has signed a big endorsement deal with Pepsi? That's right, it's true, and we are all very happy about it. You see, 'Pepsi-Cola' is an anagram of 'Episcopal' and 'Britney Spears' is an anagram of 'Presbyterians'."

I see it in that quote. I thought clever anagrams were supposed to reflect upon the word they’re anagramming somehow, I don’t get the connection.

Looking at Britney's religious history it appears that "Presbyterians" and "Episcopal" are two words that don't apply to her, whereas "Evangelical," "Southern Baptist," "Catholic," or "atheist" could, and it would be intriguing if she anagrammized to one of those terms. Although "Presbyterian" is still kind of funny.

Few anagrams can have such genuine class

Like "I'm an evil Tory bigot" being an anagram of Virginia Bottomley. It's rare.
