RFI - "From Silver Lake"

OK, this is really really trivial but...

In the Field Mice song "And before the first kiss", the lyrics go "Twice in a row, whilst flying home, we listened to 'From Silver Lake'". So what I want to know is - what is "From Silver Lake", who is it by and is it any good anyway?

my two guesses in order:

1. jackson browne (the most likely) 2. elf power (consistent, but not so likely)

It's almost doubtless the Jackson Browne one, which is from his album "Saturate Before Using." An album which as far as I'm concerned is a straight-up masterpiece. But plenty of people can't stand Jackson Browne. If you've never heard any of his pre-eighties stuff, you should probably stop by your local used LP bin and give "Saturate" or "The Pretender" a stroll -- certainly the influence on the Field Mice is pretty pronounced.

Yes I did say "influence" and what's more I meant it
