This is one of my favourite sounds ever, but I don't know too many names besides Prince and his satellite artists who was/is doing this sort of stuff. Rick James maybe? Anyone else?

I was really pissed when I found out "If I Ruled The World" is actually just based on a sample from this and is not the pinnacle of 90's production magic that I thought it was.)
