Looking at theBest record shopping bargains thread and thinking of missing out on Radioheads drill ep makes me wonder. Which acts should I be hoarding now so I can sell to obsessed/gullible/desperate fans in 5 years times?

New answers (or hard cash) please.

My idea is generally "What albums should I be selling now because they won't be worth shit in five years?" To a certain degree yr 'investment' -is- a lot like stock - get rid of the stuff when it's still overvalued and cash in, hold onto it too long and yr down to REM 'Monster' Argentinian peso junk status

For instance - The Hives. I wasn't too impressed by the cd I bought so I sold it, and thanks to the current 'Hivesmania', I made a PROFIT - something I probably couldn't do in five years' time when the Hives become the New Kids on the Block of the bargain bins.

Buy the vinyl LPs of the bigger indie releases. Especially those that come with a free 7" with exclusive stuff on.
